This area of the body can lose definition because of a multitude of factors, the most common being pregnancy, extreme fluctuations in weight, and the rapid weight loss that occurs after gastric bypass surgery. The results of abdominoplasty can be dramatic and the procedure is best recommended for patients who have been unable to achieve their goals through diet and exercise. Our Savannah, Georgia abdominoplasty surgeons offer a range of tummy tuck procedures to help patients with all degrees of abdominal laxity.
Abdominoplasty
The standard abdominoplasty procedure begins with a bikini-shaped horizontal incision across the lower abdomen, between the hipbones. Through this incision, the surgeon is able to tighten the abdominal muscles, remove fat and skin, and reposition the skin. The resulting scar may, in some cases, extend from hip to hip, but will be low enough to be easily concealed beneath most swimwear. Email Finger & Associates Plastic Surgery Back to top
