FAQAbout Abdominoplasty (Tummy Tuck)
Otherwise known as a "tummy tuck," abdominoplasty can eliminate excess, damaged,
or stretched skin resulting from pregnancy or from extreme weight gain and weight
loss commonly seen in patients who have undergone gastric bypass surgery. No
amount of exercise can restore the skin to its original quality after such damage
has occurred. During abdominoplasty, the muscles of the abdomen are tightened
to flatten its contour. Striae, or stretch marks of the lower abdomen, may be
completely removed with abdominoplasty. When abdominoplasty is combined with
liposuction, dramatic changes in body shape can be achieved. While there are
