Tummy Tuck

A tummy tuck (abdominoplasty) is a procedure where excess skin and fat is removed from the middle and lower abdomen and to tighten the muscles of the abdominal wall. The incision is made just below the "bikini" line. Some patients may also have an umbilical hernia which can be repaired at the same time as a tummy tuck. Liposuction is commonly performed in conjunction with a tummy tuck.
