Constantino G. Mendieta, M.D., F.A.C.S.
Born in Los Angeles, California, Dr. Mendieta moved at a young age to his parents' homeland in Nicaragua. His interest in plastic surgery emerged while observing his uncle - a plastic surgeon - reconstruct the disfigured faces of war victims, restoring them to near-normal appearance. Marveled by these skills, he returned to the United States to complete his secondary education and focus on emulating the work of the man he admired.
Pursuing this ambition, Dr. Mendieta has received numerous honors and awards including being named in the International Who's Who and graduating Magna Cum Laud. He completed a rigorous general surgical residency at Maricopa Medical Center in Phoenix, Arizona, then continued his plastic surgery training at the University of Miami, accomplishing specialties in both general surgery and plastic surgery.
Recognized for his knowledge and skills, Dr. Mendieta had the distinct privilege/ opportunity to further train under world-renowned leaders in plastic surgery field taking him to Brazil, Edinburgh, England, to complete a fellowship at the Royal College of Surgeons, and California to study under one of the world's greatest facelift surgeons, and work with internationally-respected figures in Beverly Hills.
After finishing fellowships in facelift surgery in Beverly Hills, California, and aesthetic and reconstructive surgery of the breasts as well as facial surgery to rejuvenate the eye area in Atlanta, Georgia, Dr. Mendieta was one of a select few chosen to complete an aesthetic surgery fellowship at Harvard University in Boston, Massachusetts. He then traveled to Paris to complete advanced training under world famous breast surgeon Dr. Louis Benneli to minimize scarring from surgery to reduce or lift the breast. Dr. Mendieta went to Brazil to train under Dr. Sampio Goes for the same surgical techniques.
Dr. Mendieta has attained world-class skill in facial surgery, breast surgery and body sculpting, and is extremely well-versed in all aspects of aesthetic and reconstructive surgery. His emphases on patient care, and attention to detail have earned him the trust and respect of his patients and colleagues. Dr. Mendieta has developed a national and evolving international following. He has been featured on numerous national and international shows as well as being named among "American Top Surgeons" by the Consumer Research council of America for 4 years in a row.
No two individuals are the same, therefore no single technique is suited to all cases. An open-minded, versatile and creative surgeon with a keen eye is required to evaluate each patient. Extensive training with legends and innovators in plastic surgery from around the world has prepared Dr. Mendieta to integrate traditional approaches with the latest in procedures and technological advances. He is uniquely qualified to diagnose and recommend the surgical options best suited to your individual needs and appropriate for the most natural results.
